I had a chance to be one of the lucky ones to participate on the journey. We travelled with private train from Moscow to Mongolia-China border and continued by buss to Beijing. After a never-forgettable bus trip we took a night train from Beijing to Shanghai. The whole trip, including one week in Shanghai, lasted about 3 weeks.

As being in China I couldn't avoid buying some freshwater pearls and so I flew back to Finland with 30-35kg of delicious looking colored and variously shaped pearls. Luckily some of the AoT students helped me in carrying so we had a Aalto on Tracks jewelry workshop back in Finland, where students could design their own necklaces out of the chinese pearls.
